From the Desk of Sylvia Anderson

“Together we can restore hope and dignity for those in need among us.” Sylvia Anderson, Everett Gospel Mission CEO

At first glance, the ministry of Everett Gospel Mission may look simple. After all, we’ve been providing food and shelter to people experiencing homelessness for over 50 years now. But that’s not the whole story.

While emergency food and shelter is a critical need, it’s just the first of many “pathways to change.” Our real goal is to provide dignified opportunities for people who have been defeated by circumstance, and help put them on the path to deep and lasting change.

People, Not Problems

The reasons for homelessness are varied and complex: job loss, poverty, substance abuse, domestic violence, mental illness, broken relationships. Addressing these issues and helping restore lives is just as complex, which is why we work on a case-by-case, individual basis so that people experiencing homelessness first and foremost feel like people.

We offer our services to everyone who comes through our doors, regardless of their beliefs, because that’s what Christ has called us to do.

Find Where You Fit

I invite you to let Everett Gospel Mission help you reach out to the poor and disenfranchised in our community.

Come on in, look around, and see what we’re about. Our door is always open—and there is plenty of ways a caring person like you can get involved.

In His Service,
Sylvia Anderson
