A Mother’s Wish

When Annie gave birth to her son, she was lost in addiction and unable to care for herself or him. He was taken away and she was completely devastated.

That devastation led her to take the first step to change her life by going to rehab.  But once it was over, she faced a whole new problem.  

In order to reunite with her son, she needed a safe place to stay. Without a place to go, she would lose her son all over again.

That’s when she reached out to Everett Gospel Mission.

“That made all the difference in the world. If it wasn’t for the Mission, I wouldn’t have my son. I’d be back on streets again,” she says.

Thanks to partners like you, Annie found shelter when she needed it most, just in time for her son’s first birthday! She and her son had a safe place to live, healthy meals to eat and the support she needed to continue her recovery.

“I don’t know where I’d be without the Mission,” Annie says.
