EGM provides opportunities for members of the community to provide gifts for the residents and former residents of the Mission. During the last year, we have served over 600 individuals by providing basic necessities. During the Christmas season, we endeavor to ensure that all of our current residents experience all that the Christmas season means for so many of us. For some, this will be the most peaceful and meaningful Christmas they have experienced.

You can be a part of that celebration by adopting a family, single woman or man and providing them with a new gift for Christmas. We can not do this type of giving without the help of our community partners. We need you!!! All of our residents have filled out a “wish list” that we will provide to you so that you have an idea of what might be appropriate gifts. In no way are you obligated to purchase what they have requested. However, getting as close as you can certainly speaks to our residents as to having their voices heard. Sometimes poverty renders a person invisible and instills a feeling of powerlessness.

We will provide at your request the names of our residents with their wish list and will assist you in every way to make this a fantastic experience for all. Kids especially enjoy shopping for other children (we encourage you to let them be involved).

All gifts need to be returned to the Mission administration building (unwrapped) by December 18, 2017. This is so that we can ensure they are wrapped and delivered to the families by Christmas Eve. If you would like, we will hold volunteer wrapping session December 18, 19, and 21 if needed. Please e-mail me to be added to that list.

If you have any further questions or concerns do not hesitate to contact us at janderson@egmission.org, or by telephone at 425.740.2506.
