Pay: $11.50/hr to 13.85/hr DOE
DESCRIPTION
The Donor Information Specialist is
responsible for the overall coordination and management of the donor/prospect
database, which includes mail processing, daily gift entry, reports and
mailings. Also develops and implements
strategies to improve the donor information tracking.
The Donor Information Specialist
will support the mission and vision of the Everett Gospel Mission through
behaviors that reflect and integrate our core values and maintain the highest
standards for personal integrity and stewardship of resources.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Evaluates and prioritizes
tasks. Assists the Director of
Development in support of donor/prospect profiles for donor cultivation;
coordinates direct-mail solicitations, acknowledgment programs, and other donor
support mailings.
Responsible for all donor/prospect
records and giving histories, both in the database program and hard copy files,
ensuring that all donations are entered and receipted on a timely basis.
Works with and provides support to
other users to assist them in the use of the database; collecting information
necessary to effectively answer questions or resolve problems with data entry,
word processing, etc. Logs and tracks
calls to support and follows up with users to ensure successful database
management.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
* Ensures complete and accurate
tracking of special events, including event participants, event gifts and event
mailings.
* Assists with collecting
information required for grant applications and donor communications.
* Coordinates activities with
appropriate staff, including reports, bank deposits and related
information.
* Produce and distribute reports.
* Periodically reviews codes and
security of database and makes changes as needed.
* Makes suggestions for
improvements in the use of the database.
* Monitors database usage, performs
routine database maintenance, and keeps abreast of features and enhancements
that will result in efficient use of the program.
* Assists with developing and maintaining a Policies
and Procedures manual for the Development office.
* Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
* Associated degree or equivalent
is preferred. Prior experience in fundraising a plus.
* Skilled in the use of Microsoft
Outlook, Word, and Excel. Proficiency in
integration between these programs a must.
* Must be able to work with minimal
supervision.
* Must have strong interpersonal
and organizational skills, with exceptional attention to detail, maintaining a
high standard of courtesy at all times.
* Ability to compile, analyze, and
interpret reports, and compose business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information
and respond to questions from the director of development, constituents, and
organization’s staff.
* Ability to compute ratio and
percent, as well as analyze and interpret patterns.
* Ability to collect data,
establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, as well as solve practical
problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Ability to interpret and follow written or
oral instructions.
* Must exercise sound judgment and
maintain donor/prospect confidentiality.
