Lydia House
Transitional housing is a vital bridge for many single women who have completed our program at the EGM Women and Children’s Shelter. To address this need, EGM opened Lydia House which provides private independent living for up to ten women for a 2-year period. Lydia House is a self-governed home where the residents serve on a governing board to manage the affairs of the house. Each resident pays rent for their room and purchases and prepares their own food. They are expected to attend a support group of their choice which could include a church group, NAA, AA, etc., and to serve a minimum of 10 hours per week of community service. Lydia House is located in downtown Snohomish and is supported by community donations.
